Angora is a light and airy yarn, especially known for its softness and fluffy appearance. As angora fibres are relatively short, some excess fibres may initially appear – this is completely natural and will diminish with use.
The angora in this yarn comes from angora rabbits raised on farms in Turkey. The angora wool is collected by combing rather than shearing or shaving. This is a gentle method that helps preserve the fibres soft and intact, while also considering the welfare of the rabbits. The wool is processed in Italy by Lane Mondial, which has many years of experience with this artisanal method.
