The Twisted Band Cap is a knitted summer cap inspired by the classic paperboy hat. It is knitted in a cotton and linen blend, making it comfortable to wear on warm days. The cap is knitted with the purl side facing out, which creates an almost woven look. To give the cap a firm structure, it is knitted at a relatively tight gauge. Around the head sits a band with a small fold that adds an edge to the design. The cap has a firm brim, which can either be reused from an old cap or is included when the pattern is purchased as a kit.

100 (100) g Pelini from Rauma Garn (50 g = 102 m) knitted with a single strand.
The dark brown cap is knitted in col. 118 (size 54–56 cm), and the khaki green in col. 317 (size 57–60 cm). For reference, my head circumference is 56 cm.

When the pattern is purchased as a kit, the
brim is included in the correct shape.
Alternatively, you can reuse the brim from an old cap
by unpicking the fabric and removing the brim. The pattern includes a template and guide for cutting the brim to the correct shape.
